When we are called to use the sword of the Spirit in spiritual warfare, we need to know and understand what God’s Word says. When I heard that only 1 in 5 Christians have read the whole Bible, I knew immediately I was being called to action.
Ephesians 6:10-16 NLT: 10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Hosea 4:6 KJV: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
We will be encouraging each other to make time for the Lord, reading a couple of chapters a day, and journaling along the way!! We will also be coming together once a week (Tuesdays at 6pm cst) on a group Zoom so we can get to know each other and have names with faces! During our Zoom, we will discussing what we’ve read. The zooms will be recorded in case you have to miss for whatever reason, and will be posted in the forum for you to go back and view them. Our forum will be private to only those that are registered. Within the forum, you will get the weekly reading schedule with study guides. You will also be able to ask questions, submit prayer requests so others can come into agreement and lift your needs up in prayer. Last, but not least, I will be helping you with interpreting your dreams. A lot of times God will give us directions in dreams, and we need to be able to interpret them so we can be obedient.
Job 33:14-18 KJV: 14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; 16 Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, 17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. 18 He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
I’m so excited to get this started!! I believe we will have a fun time doing this together, and it will be so rewarding for each of us!!! God is calling us to get closer to Him, so let’s make that time for Him and learn His will for us through His Word!!!
